Meet the HaitiHelp Team.
Carole Hatten
Carol Hatten is the chairperson of Haiti Help, She lives in Kelty, Fife, and has worked as a nurse practitioner until her retrial in 2025.
Carole is also a founding member of the charity and has visited the Island of La Gonave almost every year since 2009.
Due to the recent unrest in Haiti, Carole and the other Trustee's have been prevented from travelling to visit their projects. However, they continue to fundraise and support the vulnerable people in need.
Lou Davidson
Lou Davidson is the charity's secretary.
Lou lives in Lochgelly and worked as a nurse in Fife until her retirement in 2018.
She organises the bookshelves and recycling project for the charity, she is the one to contact if you need a donation to be delivered or picked up.
Lou also keeps the charity diary, so let her know if your group would like to hear about the work Haiti Help does on La Gonave.
Lou is a founder member of Haiti Help. She visited La Gonave island several times between 2009 and 2018.
Elaine Stark
Elaine Stark is a founding member of HaitiHelp.
Until 2026 she was the treasurer but has now handed over the reins to a newer trustee, Adele.
Elaine lives in Lochgelly and works 2 days a week as a nurse practitioner in a general practice. Elaine has visited La Gonave on numerous occasions to both work and check on projects.
Unfortunately we cannot visit now due to the unrest and ongoing violence in the country. This makes fundraising and support the people of Haiti even more essential as they struggle on a daily basis to even survive.
HaitiHelp continues to send donations and support projects where we can. "A little goes a long way"
Adele Dougary
Adele Dougary is a committed volunteer at HaitiHelp.
She helps with the coming up with and organising fundraising events.
Adele lives in Fife and works full time as an accountants assistant. She is passionate about making a positive impact for the children of Haiti.
