Meet the Team

Haiti Help is run entirely by volunteers.

You can meet them below.

Lou Davidson

Lou Davidson is the secretary of Haiti Help and one of its founding members. Based in Lochgelly, Lou worked as a nurse in Fife until her retirement in 2018. She plays a key role in the charity, managing the bookshelves and recycling project, as well as coordinating donation deliveries and collections.

Lou also keeps the charity’s diary, so if your group is interested in learning more about Haiti Help’s work on La Gonave, she’s the person to contact. Between 2009 and 2018, Lou visited La Gonave several times, contributing firsthand to the charity’s efforts on the island.

Elaine Stark

Elaine Stark is the treasurer of Haiti Help. She lives and works in Lochgelly as a nurse in general practice.

As a founding member of the charity, Elaine has visited La Gonave multiple times over the years. Although recent unrest has made travel to Haiti difficult, she remains dedicated to fundraising and ensuring support reaches those in greatest need.

Her motto is: A little goes a long way!
